Fair pay commitment

Pay you can rely on

Not being paid the wage you deserve as well as realistic travel, waiting and training time is unfair.

Often care companies make their pay rates overly complex so that what you get at the end of the month isn’t what you were expecting.

From the very start, we made a commitment to fair and transparent pay and to fighting working poverty by always paying above the Real Living Wage.

Reliable pay

We pay for your whole shift. You’ll be paid from the first minute of your first visit right through to the last minute of your last visit in each shift, regardless of any gaps.

You’ll also get paid if your first or last visit is longer than 10 miles from your home so you’re not out of pocket. We always aim to start and finish your day as close to your home as possible, it’s only fair after all.

Transparent pay matters to us

We put actual travel, actual waiting time and actual mileage in the schedule so you can always count on what you’ll get paid.

You’ll get a timesheet every month that shows all the details of every visit, including how much you were paid for care time, travelling time, waiting time, training time, meetings and real mileage calculated using Google’s route planner. We show you every detail so that nothing is hidden and you can have confidence in the accuracy of your pay with no surprises.

You’ll be paid 45p per mile travelled. Plus, we use Google Maps to plan your route, so your mileage will be based on realistic routes rather than ‘as the crow flies’ so you won’t be out of pocket.

Guaranteed pay contracts

We’re making zero hour contracts a thing of the past and giving everybody the chance to have pay security and greater financial confidence when dealing with banks, landlords and mortgage companies by offering guaranteed pay contracts to all our Carers.

Our Guaranteed Pay contract means no more Zero Hours.

It’ll make it easier for both you and banks to see clearly how much pay you’re guaranteed every month even if we were ever to not have work to give you.
