Companionship care & support service

Our clients sometimes say it feels as if their world is shrinking, they miss social interaction as they get older because meeting friends and getting out becomes a struggle.

Your personalised companion care service

Our companionship care service involves listening to what you enjoy doing and supporting you to continue doing it.

Whether that’s a coffee with friends, walking the dog, visiting a garden centre or tending to your geraniums, our companion carers team design a plan to help you do it with greater independence, confidence and greater peace of mind.

We work flexibly to make sure your companionship care plan is tailored to your lifestyle and fits around friends and family members too.

If you’d like support getting out and about, you can start off with a few hours a week for a couple of months to see the difference it makes seeing a friendly face over regular visits.

Back to bingo: Mrs R’s story

Mrs R had retreated from the world to such an extent that she didn’t bother to get dressed and spent her days in social isolation watching television behind closed curtains.

Our care team worked gently and steadily with her from initial companionship home care visits, during which our caregivers encouraged her to get dressed and join them with a cup of tea and biscuits. Eventually, we helped her build enough confidence so that we were able to take her to bingo once a week: an activity she had always loved.
