At Abney & Baker, our services are designed to support our clients to continue living as independently as possible in their own homes.

Based in Bath and serving across Keynsham, Saltford and West Wiltshire, we are a highly regarded provider provider of support to older people, clients with learning difficulties and those with illnesses or injuries that require extra support to maintain their independence. Just as importantly as providing practical hands-on care, we also provide mental and emotional support, encouraging our clients to do as much for themselves as they can.

Care and Support should be so much more than a safety net. We see it as an investment in maintaining quality of life. We work with our clients to help them make the most of every day and get value from the money they spend on this vital service.

All our visits are at least 30 minutes long to make sure we allow enough time for personal interaction. This allows our clients and the Abney & Baker team to get to know each other and allows us to work at our clients’ preferred pace. There is simply no replacement for spending time with someone when it comes to showing them you care.

A genuinely personal service

We pride ourselves in the personally tailored care and support that we provide to our clients. We believe this is what every client should be entitled to but which we know can be so hard to find.

By not taking on large ‘framework’ contracts with Local Authorities, we aren’t under pressure to take large volumes of clients which so often compromises the quality of care that individuals receive. We are free to work with individual clients both private and local authority funded to ensure that we provide the most appropriate and highest quality care possible.

Organised and managed

Supporting our care team is an organised and accountable team of office and community-based managers. Each client has a named Client Support Manager whose role is to oversee every aspect of the service we provide, supervising our care team and liaising with clients at every step of the way.
